I’ve been very guilty of using my cell phone while driving. I mean it’s so convenient. One of the beauties and conveniences about my job is that I can continue working while on the road. With my mobile hot spot and my laptop I am not physically restrained to the four walls of my building. My work can always be on the go (well except when I’m on the morning show from 6 am – 10 am).
The government’s transportation safety experts recommended Tuesday to ban all American drivers from using portable electronic devices — including cellphones, even if you use a hands-free device.
This is definitely a double edged sword as I also use an iPod to listen to my music. It just seems like they just want to ban anything that can get your eyes off of the road. I think it’s a bit extreme and they don’t even consider the user of a bluetooth ear piece. What do you think?
