“Jammin Johnny Caride”
Of Hispanic Cuban decent, Johnny started his career as a “DJ Mixer” for Rhythm 98 in 1986 where he participated in many of the mix shows that where featured. He moved to Super Q 107.5 as co-host of Saturday Night Fever along with Mike in the Night where they reached # 1 ratings from 7p-12a.
After this success Johnny was tapped by Power 96 PD Frank Walsh in 1988 to host the Saturday Midday Mix Show from 12-1p. Due to its huge popularity it eventually became a 2 hour mix show where it became a success in the ratings. While at Power 96, Johnny also was featured as an on-air talent doing many shows such as “The Power Love Hour” and “Sunday School” which featured 2 hours of 80’s Music. In 2003, Johnny found an opportunity to expand his on-air talent and promotional skills with Spanish Broadcasting System as its Promotions Director for WXDJ, WRMA and WCMQ. Johnny is currently on El Zol 95 on Saturday from 10am-2pm with the Top 20 Countdown. In addition he is a featured DJ/Mixer for Clasica’s Thank God its Friday and Saturday Night Fever shows from 7p-6a. Johnny is also very busy with live endorsements and remotes each weekend for many satisfied clients such as Lehman Toyota, Kendall Mitsubishi, Alcazaba Lounge and many others.
